Set Goals for a Fulfilling Life

Align Your Goals with Your Divine Calling

Follow your bliss and the universe will open doors where there were only walls.

Joseph Campbell

Have you ever felt like your goals are a nagging voice in the back of your head, a constant source of pressure and anxiety? You set out to conquer them, but achieving them feels hollow. That's because many of us set goals based on what we think we should want, not what truly ignites a fire within us.

The Two Sources of Goals

Instead of feeling drained by your goals, find the ones that feel light and expansive - those are whispers from your inspired self!

  • Desperation Goals: These goals feel heavy and draining. They come from a place of lack and scarcity, and achieving them seems like the only way to escape our current situation.  These are often "means goals," a stepping stone to something else, like making money to achieve financial freedom.

  • Inspiration Goals:  These goals feel light, energizing, and expansive. They come from a place of abundance and a desire to create something for the world.  These are "end goals" pursued for the joy of creation itself.

Identifying Your Goals' Source

In identifying the source of your goals, observe whether they feel draining, focused on external rewards, or if they excite you and feel like a natural expression of passion and abundance.

  • Desperation: Does the goal feel draining? Are you focused on what you'll get out of it rather than the act of creating it? Do you feel pressure and a sense of urgency?

  • Inspiration: Does the goal excite you? Does it feel like a calling rather than an obligation? Do you feel a sense of abundance and joy?

Find your Divine Inspiration

We all have an urge to create something wonderful, fueled by pure inspiration, not desperation. But thinking about it can snuff out that spark.  Is it time to quiet the mind and rediscover your divine inspiration?

  1. Quiet the Mind: Meditate or breathe deeply to silence self-doubt and open yourself to inspiration.

  2. Seek Inspiration: Notice intuitive nudges, creative ideas, or a deep sense of purpose. These are messages from within.

  3. Ask Big Questions: Go beyond limitations and tap into your potential. Ask: "What would I create with infinite resources and no fear?"

  4. Follow Your Joy: Identify activities that bring you true fulfillment, regardless of external rewards. Let passion guide your goals.

  5. Embrace Gratitude: Be thankful for what you have and your inner potential. Gratitude attracts what aligns with your highest good.

  6. Let Go of Outcomes: Trust the universe's timing. Detach from specific outcomes and enjoy the process of creating your goals.

  7. Take Action: Guided by intuition, break down your goals and take consistent steps towards your inspired vision.
